Does it work without knowing Japanese?
Yes — that's the whole point. Nearish is built specifically for travelers who don't read Japanese. The app sends search queries to Google Places in Japanese behind the scenes. You never need to type a single Japanese character.
What's the search radius?
You can set the search radius anywhere from 200 meters to 800 meters around your current location using a slider. This lets you find what's truly walkable — not just what's in the area.
Is Nearish available on Android?
Not yet. Nearish is currently iOS only. Android support is something we're exploring for a future version. Sign up to be notified when it's available.
Do searches expire?
On the Free plan, you get 5 searches per day — they reset every 24 hours. With the Searcher pack, you get 1,000 searches that never expire. Use them across multiple trips, months, or years.
